I quite love what I do. I have the opportunity to perform but then I also get the chance to teach children in the practice of the arts that have been so kind and challenging for me. On top of this, I’ve had a lot of time to think back upon my own training andContinue reading “Teaching young children”

Clown Care
This last fall I started a job that epitomizes what I feel is the best use of a theatrical and artistic career: I clown for children at the hospital. No, we don’t walk in and just start ignorantly trying to make children laugh through their tears. And as I’ve known quite a few people withContinue reading “Clown Care”
Defining yourself
How do we define ourselves? As the new year begins, and we turn to think of new beginnings, resolutions and fresh starts, I find myself asking this question over and over again – probably because it’s at the core of any new, continuing or changing behavior. Happy 2016!
It’s January 1st, 2016! Have you had your black-eyed peas and collard greens? Have you made your resolutions? Period. I could say “it’s hard to stay optimistic in this society” or “it’s hard to stay optimisticContinue reading “I’m too old.”
Who I am
(As a writer). I am fascinated with the unpredictability and randomness of life. I am aware that where we begin is only by a ridiculous combination of chance and coincidence. What we do with these blueprints (our genes, our life), is then mixed up by another ridiculous combination of chance and coincidence. We can workContinue reading “Who I am”
