Crackle Nail Polish

You may or may not have noticed “crackle” nail polish in your local beauty or drug store. If you’ve wondered how it works, here you go!

First you paint on a base coat, let it dry completely, and then paint on your “crackle” overcoat. As you watch, it will start to separate and create its effect. Allow this to dry completely, and then complete the process with a final top coat.

Tips:
*Use a base color that is strikingly different from your “crackle” color.
*A little “crackle” goes a long way.
*The “crackle” paint is thick; don’t let this sway you. Think of it as a texturizer and just let it do its thing.
*The top coat brings the whole effect together: it will bring sheen to the “crackle” color, glue it down and allow your manicure to last!
