Hollywood Studios (Orlando)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios may no longer be called “MGM” (although many will recognize it by this name), but the attractions remain as movie-loving and old-cinema as ever!

As far as thrills go, the Rock n Roller Coaster takes you on an awesome launch from 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds!  The ride is synced with music, inverts you and takes you through the black lit streets of LA to get to an Aerosmith concert on time.  The Tower of Terror takes you to the iconic Hollywood Tower and, after you meet the hotel’s ghostly guests, takes you through a series of drops in the elevator shaft – a sheer nightmare in any other elevator but a thrill and a half in this one.

Then you will want to go on the backstage tour to see Catastrophe Canyon and see the inner workings of a disaster set.  You will get up close views of how a movie set can construct (and control) floods, explosions and disasters.  Other attractions include the Lights, Motors, Action stunt show where you can watch real industry stunt drivers demonstrate intricate and impressive high-speed vehicle stunts and the live-action Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! where you will watch industry stunt men re-enact scenes from Raiders of the Lost Ark while simultaneously illustrating how movie stunts are performed.
